(Press Release) Studiobanks to elevate marketing of SAFER® Barrier

Studioblog Image

New dynamic website will promote NASCAR and IRL SAFER® Barrier soft wall technology to other racing leagues in U.S. and international markets.

Charlotte-based digital agency, Studiobanks recently launched RacingMadeSafer.com, a robust website for Motorsports Safety Technology (MST), an alliance between NASCAR and the Indy Racing League (IRL), to promote the SAFER® Barrier soft wall technology to racing leagues and new construction projects around the world.

The technology, known as the Steel and Foam Energy Reduction (SAFER®) Barrier, is an energy absorbing soft wall system that has been installed on all NASCAR and IRL racetrack walls to help reduce crash severity and decrease driver injuries due to racing. The SAFER® Barrier consists of a high-strength, tubular steel skin that distributes impact load to energy-absorbing foam cartridges in order to reduce crash severity and provide additional protection for drivers.

The user experience of the Flash-based website captures the Barrier’s positive effects on racing safety, which will ultimately support MST’s efforts to market the technology’s license to other racing leagues throughout the U.S. and international markets.

We were impressed by Studiobanks’ abilities to really understand, showcase and promote the benefits of this amazing life saving technology that we call the SAFER® Barrier in such a cutting-edge manner,” said Shawn Rogers, NASCAR’s Managing Director of Business Operations for Competition and an MST Representative.

“We are committed to supporting ongoing research for new uses of the technology, and we mandate it on all of our tracks because safety for our drivers is our top priority. The new website will help educate other race tracks about the Barrier’s tremendous impact on driver safety, as well as other benefits such as increased track marketability for various forms of motorsports."

(Project Update) Greg Biffle Website - Top NASCAR Driver

So, while Greg Biffle's business manager is coordinating a photo shoot and gathering the last of the content we'll need, we've begun organizing the sitemap. This blue print of sorts allows us to be clear on the structure of the site before we begin design. It also allows for the client to have an outline of the final content we'll need.

We work hard to receive content as soon as possible. This helps our designers visually tell a story and understand how much text and/or photos will be on a page. Since Studiobanks is known for very clean and easy navigation, it's important we know what we are navigating before we begin the design.

One of the goals of the Greg Biffle site is to show the personal side of Greg—what he's up to when he's not on the track. One of the ways to accomplish this is to show Greg in his street clothes versus his NASCAR uniform. We're looking forward to being at the photo shoot in a couple weeks. Should be fun.

(New Project) Greg Biffle Website - Top NASCAR Driver

We are very excited about our latest project. For me, this is a full circle moment and a great example of how strong client relationships and good old fashion hard work pay off.

One of Studiobanks' very first projects was designing the Rick Crawford website. Our contact there had since worked his way up over the years and is now the business manager for Greg Biffle Incorporated. So, he contacted us to design GregBiffle.com.

With Greg Biffle being a nationally known celebrity, we see this national exposure as an opportunity to highlight our capabilities and creative expertise. With that said, we are going to pull out all the stops to make this site the best site the racing industry has ever seen.

About Greg Biffle

Greg Biffle made NASCAR history in 2002 and came within 35 points of doing it again in 2005 when he finished second in the Chase for the Nextel Cup.

Biffle became the first driver to win championships in both the Craftsman Truck and Busch series before moving full time to Cup in 2003. His lone win that season came in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona, making him one of only a handful of drivers to win a race in each of NASCAR's top three series.

(New Project) Kubilins Transportation Group

Kubilins is one of the most sought after traffic engineering firms in the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee. We are taking a very organized yet creative approach to their website, which will be built in FLASH and lots of animation in the background. It's also very important that when visitors come to their site they can view the Kubilins portfolio right away- whether they want to search by a particular service or by a specific project, like the NASCAR Hall of Fame or Birkdale Village. Check back for the launch announcement. This has been one of our favorite websites so far this year.
